The All Progressives Party’s (APC) governors have been charged with planning to destabilize Nigeria through the execution of the naira redesign strategy, according to an organization called Civil Society Organization.
This was said by the group’s organizer, Obed Okwukwe, during a news conference on Tuesday in Abuja.
He revealed that in order to undermine the Naira redesign policy, these governors would orchestrate further cash shortages.
These governors, regrettably, have sworn fealty to their new Godfather. To enthrone him, they are prepared to flout the rule of law and take any measure, including fostering anarchy.
“There will be increased cash shortage; there will be drama throughout the country’s geopolitical zones; people will pose as if they are about to collapse at markets, banks, and ATMs due to the Naira redesign policy.”
Due to the lack of new naira notes, Nigerians have been experiencing hardship from the country’s cash shortage for several weeks.
Prior to a substantive hearing on Wednesday, the Supreme Court last week prohibited the Nigerian central bank from carrying out the February 10 deadline to phase out the old naira notes.
